The hotel is overlooking the river and waterfall, nestled in the picturesque Scottish Highlands between Loch Rannoch and Loch Tummel, in Kinloch Rannoch. Situated in the shadow of Schiehallion, Kinloch Rannoch offers some of the best and most breath-taking opportunities for hiking, hill walking, fishing, golfing and on and off-road cycling as well as sightseeing and activities and experiences for all the family; Carie Forest, by the South Loch Road; along breath-taking waterfalls and lochs. Rannoch station, one of the most historic railway stops in the Scottish Highlands is just a few minutes’ drive from the hotel and a location which appears in the Harry Potter films. Many of our guests chose to conquer Scotland’s Munros, a list of Scottish mountains over 3,000 ft which are named after Sir Hugh T Munro, who surveyed and catalogued them in 1891. Our nearest Munro’s to be bagged is Schiehallion which is one of the easier Munros to climb. The mountain of Ben Nevis which is the highest Munro and can be reached by train from Rannoch Station which takes just over the hour.
Over 200 years since it first began life as a small village inn, the new hotel reopened May 2017 with 32 spacious suites, following an extensive renovation by award-winning architects and designers, fusing the period stoned features of the building with modern and contemporary interiors, resulting in an oasis of luxury. Edina’s Kitchen is our modern restaurant set within the hotel open for guests, visitors and locals, serving only the freshest, local ingredients prepared daily by the skilled kitchen team. Authentic Scottish cuisine and classic British dishes are served over breakfast, lunch, dinner and an all-day grazing menu. The private enclosed sun-trapped courtyard caters for those wishing to relax on the outside in the sunshine for drinks or dining, day and night.
